ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
All students studying the Diploma of Golf Business & Management (11256NAT) must meet the following entry requirements:
- Aged 18-years or older
- Completion of Australian Year 12 (equivalent) or higher education OR
- Successfully complete LLN Assessment Test with PGA Institute

Add-On: Golf Development Program
The Golf Development Program add on provides students with golf coaching and training in addition to your desired PGA Institute education program.
This program is suitable for students looking to improve their golf skills, where playing a higher standard of golf may be beneficial to your career objective. In addition, you may be simply looking to add balance and recreation to your studies.
Working with PGA Academy coaches, students will undertake a holistic 4 day per week program that implements proven long term training methodologies. Taking an educational approach to improvement, combined with a number of local golf competitions, practice sessions, unlimited golf access and gym conditioning classes will surely benefit you as a golfer.
The program is based at the PGA Golf Learning Hub at the Sandhurst Club. Your program includes membership of the club, giving you access to 36 holes of championship golf, unlimited range balls and access to practice facilities.

External Pathways:
Students who successfully complete Diploma of Golf Business & Management (11256NAT) are eligible to apply for credits earned from their PGA Institute studies toward selected Bachelor Degrees with Victoria University, Torrens University, Holmesglen Tafe, Deakin University and Griffith University.
With our partner institutions, students can articulate into Bachelor Degrees earning up to a one-year credit (equivalent) off the regular three-year Bachelor Degrees. Students can apply to enter into various Bachelor Degrees. Please click here to learn more about the specific courses available.
Internal Pathways – Become a PGA Professional
The Professional Golfers Association (PGA) is the peak body for professional golf in Australia. The PGA of Australia delivers education to professional golfers, and golfers studying to become a Full Member (Vocational) of the PGA of Australia.
For those who wish to turn their passion for golf into a career as a PGA Professional. Study in the PGA Member Pathway Program(MPP) is a combination of employment, on the job training, face to face training schools (delivered off site), tournament golf and online learning delivered in the student’s workplace.
Successful graduates of the Diploma of Golf Business & Management (11256NAT) will give students a credit for year 3 academics of the MPP, potentially allowing the completion of the MPP in 2 years instead of 3 (assuming the completion of workplace and playing requirements).
Upon successful completion of all program requirements, the Membership Pathway Program leads to Full Membership (Vocational) of the PGA, translating an individual’s passion for the sport into a wide variety of career opportunities in the golf industry.
